The Bonfyre is an American singer, songwriter, and R&B artist known for her smooth, sultry vocals and contemporary blend of R&B, soul, and pop influences.
Born Chelsey LaRue, she gained recognition with her breakout single "Automatic"
in 2018, which was produced by hitmaker Harmony Samuels. The song’s infectious melody and feel-good energy helped propel her into the spotlight, earning radio play and a growing fanbase.
Raised in Massachusetts, The Bonfyre developed a deep passion for music at a
young age, drawing inspiration from classic soul artists and modern R&B greats.
Before stepping into the mainstream, she honed her craft by performing covers on YouTube, where her unique tone and emotive delivery caught the attention of industry executives.
Her debut EP, "Ready to Love" (2018), was released under L.A. Reid’s Hitco Entertainment and featured collaborations with top-tier producers. The project showcased her ability to deliver smooth ballads and up-tempo grooves, establishing
her as a fresh voice in contemporary R&B. She followed up with her 2020 project,
"Love, Lust & Letdowns", which further explored themes of love, heartbreak,
and self-discovery.
